tensuke express.

this is the first official food review post on the new page and i wanna thank you for coming to read this. i'm excited to start blogging about food again and in a different concept than i had before on the old website.
tensuke express is one of my favorite places to go in town. not only is it fresh and delicious food, but it's hella cheap. i tend to get the same thing each time i go, but once in a while i'll change it up. it's in the japanese marketplace, which has the market, sushi restaurants (sushi ten and akai hana), bakery, and gift shop located there.
spicy pork kimchi udon bowl - udon noodle soup with a kimchi base: 7/10.
- not spicy (to me)
- broth is light and clean, but still flavorful
- udon is made from scratch and is consistent
- veggie/kimchi ratio to pork is pretty solid, although i personally wish there was more kimchi in the bowl
takoyaki - deep fried octopus wheat balls: 8/10.
- deep fried with a slight crunch, but the inside is soft.. i wish the inside was a little crunchier
- octopus is fresh
- topped with takoyaki sauce (dark sweet sauce) and bonito flakes
overall, i recommend going here. i try to go at least once a week and i consider it one of cbus' best kept secrets. y'all should go check it out!
